“Little Shed” 6x6”, gouache and pencil on paper. Framed and available at Mill Street Studio Pop Up in Creemore, ON.

For me, the best part of my kids activities was that I got to hang out with my friends :) Well times have changed and now I’m left sitting by myself in the car. So I’m making the best of it by reading a book or watching a show or grabbing some groceries. The other day I dropped Marin off in the middle of a tornado warning! Before the skies got dark and scary looking, the clouds were these larger than life billows. So I drove to this little shed on the side of Fairgrounds road that I’ve been admiring for years, snapped some pictures on my iPhone and took home a little inspiration with me!

Beauty can even be found on an ordinary drive up to the Superstore. I'm always searching. I have an appreciation and connection of everyday beauty that we sometimes pass by without a thought. Using a limited palette I often find myself getting lost in the subject matter.

This gouache painting is on Arches, hot pressed, 140 lb Watercolour Paper, using M. Graham gouache paints and a pencil. Gouache is an opaque, matte watercolour paint which can be applied thickly like traditional paint or watered down. M. Graham gouache is made using pure honey and gum arabic, just as it was for Dürer and Boucher. It is recommended to have the painting framed under glass.

The paper is 7"x7" and the painting size is 6"x6", with a white border left around the outside. Signed in the bottom right corner.

Leave a personalized message in the checkout comments box and I'll include the note with the painting.
